  • Do I need a ticket to attend this event?

No. There’s no ticket required to take advantage of the specials and prix fixe menus at participating restaurants.

  • Where is this event taking place?

To enjoy the Taste of the Town, simply go to any of the participating restaurants found here.

  • Are the specials and prix fixe menus available all week?

Yes. You can enjoy these offers any day the week of August 6-12. Certain specials and menus may only be available at select times. Please refer to each restaurant page for details.

  • Can I go to more than one of the restaurants?

Yes! We encourage you to visit as many of the participating restaurants as you’d like.

  • Do I need to attend the Celebrity Cruises' Grand Red Affair or the Food & Wine Festival to partake in this event?

No. Taste of the Town is open to all guests of these participating restaurants.

  • How much are tickets?

Tickets are $100.

  • Can I get a refund for my ticket?

No, all sales are final.

  • What if there is inclement weather?

While most of the Grand Red Affair will take place indoors, a portion of it will be hosted outdoors. The event will be held rain or shine.

  • What does my ticket include?

Each ticket includes valet, live entertainment, tastings of premium red wines from various wineries, light appetizers and chocolate, cheese, and coffee pairings.

  • What do I do about parking?

Complimentary valet service is included with your ticket.

  • Do I need to bring my ticket to the event?

You will need to present a valid ticket to enter. Please be certain you can access your tickets on your mobile device or bring a printed copy. Guests without a ticket will not be allowed entrance.

  • Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes. This event is 21+. Each guest will need to present a valid ID to enter.

  • Does my Celebrity Cruises' Grand Red Affair ticket grant me access to the Food & Wine Festival?

No. The Food & Wine Festival is a separate, ticketed event.

  • Will there be other beverages available besides wine?

Water and an assortment of soft drinks will be available.

  • Is there a dress code?

This is a cocktail tasting event but there is no dress code requirement.

  • Where in Detroit Zoo will this take place?

The Grand Red Affair will be hosted in the Polk Penguin Conservation Center & The Wildlife Interpretive Gallery.

  • Will the animal habitats be open during the event?

Guests will have access to the Polk Penguin Conservation Center and the butterfly habitats housed in the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery.

  • How much are tickets?

Tickets are $65.

  • Can I get a refund for my ticket?

No, all sales are final.

  • What if there is inclement weather?

The event will be held rain or shine.

  • What does my ticket include?

Each ticket includes up to 12 beverage tastings (beer/wine/spirits), unlimited food tastings, live entertainment and exclusive access to the animal exhibits.

  • What do I do about parking?

Parking is $8 per car. You may pre-purchase a parking pass through the Detroit Zoo by clicking here or pay for parking when you check in at registration.

  • Do I need to bring my ticket to the event?

  • If I purchase a ticket to the Food & Wine Festival, can I attend BOTH Friday & Saturday?

No. Each day of the Food & Wine Festival (Friday and Saturday) is considered a separate event requiring a separate ticket.

  • If I purchase a ticket to the Food & Wine Festival, can I attend EITHER Friday or Saturday?

No. Your ticket is only valid for the day you have purchased it.

  • Can I purchase extra sampling tickets?

Yes. Extra sampling tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

  • Can I purchase and take home bottles of alcohol on-site from the vendors?

No, however bottles or cases of alcohol may be ordered on-site through select vendors, and will be available for pick up at one of our featured retail partner locations after the event.

  • Does this event benefit the Detroit Zoological Society?

Yes, a portion of proceeds benefit the Detroit Zoological Society to support its mission to celebrate and save wildlife.

  • Can I purchase food on-site?

Yes. All food vendors will provide complimentary samples and select vendors will have additional food options available for purchase.

  • Where in the Detroit Zoo will this take place?

The Savor Food & Wine Festival will take place throughout the grounds of the Detroit Zoo.

  • Will the animal habitats be open during the event?

Yes. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to the Detroit Zoo’s award-winning animal habitats until twilight.
